  • Instrument cluster and infotainment went dark

I was driving on the freeway and after an underpass (where the lights went on), the instrument cluster and the infotainment screen went completely dark for several seconds.
Anyone else had the same experience?

Probably not completely dark, but when the auto headlights come on the dash goes to your night time adjustment. In daylight, that may be dim enough it looked like they were off. Try turning the dash light adjusting knob brighter, and then drive under that underpass again and see what happens.

Thanks, I will adjust the brightness ( is the button on top of the parking break ?) and look for an underpass.

Correct. It's a knob, not a button though.

A similar thing happened to me. Sitting at a stop light, I glanced down to see both screens momentarily go completely black. Nothing to do with headlights; it was a bright, sunny afternoon. A little concerning.

The knob was all the way to the left, moved it to a better position, will see if it happens again.

That should do it. All the way counter clockwise is "night mode."

Night Mode At night, when the knob is turned all the way to the off position, the instrument cluster will show minimum feature content (digital speed, gear indication, coolant temperature, and the fuel gauge) with muted colors to reduce light emission for better visibility. The Infotainment System display and the interior lighting are off.
