Can anyone confirm that the "TREMEC TR-9007 7-Speed DCT Transmission" will be used in the C8?

Cobra502 I don't think anyone is able to confirm at this time exactly anything. However check out this link. It may be a possibility.

I think Frenzy is right. So far we haven't seen anything but hints. And some of the hints have been inconsistent. For example the CAD drawings show what appears to be a ZF DCT. Yet, other sources speak of the Tremec unit being utilized.

Yet another important fact that remains untethered from certainty.

The more recent C&D piece this spring stated that it was to be a Tremec 8-speed DCT developed for the C8.

So, something not officially announced yet.

I drive a manual now and sympathize, but every single video seen this year clearly shows a DCT.

I know...hence my “save the manual” statement.

I sure do not know whether we will have a ZF or a Tremec DCT. I did however, read/understand Skank’s comment that ZF also has, along with its DCT, totally compatible rear wheel steering systems, engine mount vibration isolation systems, and similar, so if GM goes ZF, then we would have compatibility among their different components — and those components could all be found in the ZORA version.

Care to elaborate on what you mean by 'ZORA' version.

That's one of the names that some people think will be given to the C8 ME.

I recall reading of an agreement between GM and Tremec a few years back, regarding supplying DCTs...
