  • Midenginecorvette forum was mentioned on Autoline + a few minutes of Corvette ME talk

I have been watching Autoline every Thursday for 15+ years. They have had Tadge and many CEO's, executive, and auto leadership employees on their shows. They announced ME production starting because of their contacts in Detroit and suppliers on a show in June. (New ME will start gearing up 4thQ of this year). As they are not always 100% accurate they usually have great insight in the Auto industry, especially what's coming out of Detriot.

Wow..15 years...you are even more loyal than me. I enjoyed the shows since Peter D and David Welsh was on the show. I call in all the time. I love being part of the show. I enjoyed being on the show when they did the NY autoshow show locally at Katzs deli too.

John McElroy is one of the nicest guys.

while i dont always agree with Dr Data his new host i still enjoy his efforts to entertain...(he is a big fan of toyota and honda and kind of a downer on domestic brands in his discussions)

itll be fun if they manage to get Jim Mero on the show now that he is retired..Jim has set some of the fastest lap times. He is an amazing engineer and test driver. I believe he will greatly missed by the corvette team. Im sure the corvette test egineers have a suitable replacement but still Jim Mero is an iconic place in corvette history.

i hope they pay tribute to him and have him on the show...

my suggestion stands...wrote emails and or call in and leave a question..any automotive question...

the team at autoline.tv loves the feedback...

its motivating for them to get responses..

of course if we move them towards corvette discussions we will all have a few laughs whatever they can tell us....and sometimes what they cant tell us as well thats fun.

The ZR1 lap at VIR which was over 1 second a lap faster than the Ford GT (set about seven months ago), was driven by Alex MacDonald. GM has a very skilled advancement driver testing/performance measurement system, and they could well have more hot shoes in addition to Alex.

Yes, I too will miss Jim Mero, and outstanding driver, a highly skilled engineer, a wonderful public speaker to listen to, and very give funny/salty presentations.

I think Jim Mero in autoline after hours would make a great show. The inside scoop as a gm engineer and test driver.

I for sure would watch more often if he became an AutoLine regular.

Thanks to Skank, we have learned of another outstanding Corvette engineer who is a certified GM, super-fast test driver, e.g., hot shoe. That person is Matt Satchell.

            Thank you Skank.

For those of you who enjoy discussion of the entire automotive industry the autoline show is a good choice.
