If the government would get off their dead asses and pass the "new NAFTA" law the Mexican workers would have to paid much more than they are getting now which would level the playing field in auto manufacturing.

Just a guess, but it sounds like GM found a new supplier because Nemak planned to throttle the plant back to 10% capacity after a contract with Cadillac ended in 2019:

Nemak officials said previously the decision to close the plant was because it’s too small and inefficient. Once the Cadillac contract is complete, Nemak said the plant would be scheduled to operate at only 10-per-cent capacity in 2020.
Of course, they only honor contracts with other corporations, not with their own employees:
In 2016, Nemak signed an extension to its existing collective agreement with Unifor, pledging that the plant would remain open until 2022 with three new programs, as long as workers agreed to a wage freeze starting in 2019. This past July, however, the company announced it would close its Windsor plant in June 2020 and move that production to plants in Mexico and China.

I read that as meaning that they were transferring LT2 block production from Windsor to Mexico, not that they had lost the LT2 business.

That's another possibility. There's not really enough info in the article to make a conclusion.

my 5500 can haul 50 golf bags and pull a trailer that can hold about 1000, so if need be we can start a thread of those needing a ride to the golf course and I will come get everyone and their golf bag for the first ME forum golf outing, I am probably going to drop everyone off and go skydiving though, I am better at that then golf hahahaha
