I will look at the new C8, but until a dealer has samples of all colors,I'll wait. Maybe I'll go to Kerbeckif they get first dibs. I have seen nothing about interior noise levels, I surprised nobody cornered a driver in the VIP area. One VIP said there were 300 on the road, seems like a lot considering so few pics from blogs, etc. One thing that stands out about the interior is the console, seems quite high from the pics and passenger don't have easy access. The console really seems to separate driver and passenger- was this done on purpose.
I'm sure GM did no less than 500 iterations of layout and to their/management eyes there were few compromises, ok I lied. There will always be tradeoffs between designers and upper staff.

Actually, many of us talked to drivers of the cars, and a number of us asked about noise levels. It's been discussed here on the forum. And there are several linked videos where members of the Corvette team talk about cabin noise. All say it is quieter than the C7, by a significant margin. Motor Trend and Car & Driver commented on how quiet the cabin was when they had a chance to ride along in the passenger seat of one of the cars.

The row of buttons on the console really isn't that high. I've sat in both the driver and passenger seat of several of those cars, and the buttons aren't hard to reach. It's slightly less convenient for the passenger, because the surface is angled slightly toward the driver, but they're not hard to see or reach. And the passenger seat doesn't feel isolated from the driver. It's not nearly as high as it looks in some photos.
