I was late getting to this broadcast this morning but was able to hear live only Tadge & Josh and Ken Lingenfelter. Tadge and Josh talked about the 15 plus years they had been on and off the C8 project and how that there were 1,000's of GM engineers involved in this process that Josh Holder was responsible for heading up. They spoke about how important they were paying attention to younger demographics in the design of the C8 to ensure that we have a C9 someday. One interesting bit of trivia that Tadge stated is that the only part carry over from the C7 is the roof latch for the removeable targa top.
Ken Lingenfelter stated that he has ordered 4 C8's. One for him, one for his wife, and 2 for R & D. Ken stated that the new electronics safety design would be a major challenge to his staff but promised to be patient, honor Chevy's platform and work closely with their engineers in making their performance upgrades for the C8 next year. Ken stated that he thanked all of the C8 engineers on location at Carlisle for their awesome work on the C8.
I can hardly wait to see what Lingenfelter does for the C8 next year. Hang on going to be great!
