I want to order the side rocker panels with the small winglet extension on the rear tip. I do not want them in carbon fiber. Is there an option where I can still get them and not be on restraint? I do not want them in painted body color. I want them in black or Carbon Flash....no Carbon Fiber. RPO code and price would be greatly appreciated!

That does not seem to be an available option. Isn't that option 5W8 "Ground Effects Kit in Carbon Fiber Painted Carbon Flash Metallic" $3850?
(As opposed to option 5VM "Visible Carbon Fiber Ground Effects" for $4850)
In any case both appear to be dealer installed options so I would think you can just order your car without and add those later when they are available...Comment

I assume this parallels the C7 situation, where the optional ground effects (splitters, rockers) were all made of carbon fiber for strength and weight. The pieces with visual flaws were painted in Carbon Flash and sold at a discount while the pieces with no visual flaws were clear coated and sold at a higher price. There was no option for ground effects made of a different material. The C8, judging from the prices, is surely the same.
If if you want the rocker extensions painted in Carbon Flash, they will more than likely be made of carbon fiber. If you want them made of fiberglass or a some other molded material, youwill have to look for the aftermarket.Convertible delivered 9/11/20 — Long Beach Red/Natural, 3LT, Z51Comment

5V7 is a composite plastic front splitter and composite short side rockers. They look like a gray/black.
STI are composite short side rockers (no splitter), which comes in body color. We saw an earlier picture of a Shadow Gray with this. Found it.

So then would choosing the 5V7 option be adding these two “cheap” looking pieces as shown and circled on the ORANGE car as optioned ?
And if STI is chosen then would the car appear like the SILVER car where the one side piece is painted body color but the front remains black ?
And if NEITHER/ NONE of these options is chosen, would the car be missing BOTH of these pieces ( no photo found) , OR would the car instead arrive with ONLY the side piece below the door like the WHITE car, that has at the rocker panel in black ??
Has anyone seen any pictures with a C8 Missing the side rocker panel in either the black or body color ?
Any CONFIRMED answers ? ( no guessing please )

Part of the answer to your questions is, “is it a Z51?” The Z51 will have, standard, a splitter, short side rockers, and it’s unique spoiler.
The entry car will have “none of the above.” As to any hybrids, they are probably just testing them with one of these and none of those for future use (or rejection).
Your white one and the Shadow Gray one a few posts above, are clearly entry cars, though with the added STI option.
The silver one is a Z51 with the STI option.
