  • Launch Edition?

When the C7 was introduced, the run started with 500 Premier Launch Edition Coupes, and then later 550 Premier Launch Edition Convertibles (like mine ). It would seem logical they would do the same for the C8, yet I have not seen or heard a peep about it. What do you think?

Im definitely one of those early bird penny pinchers...dropping what I figure 72 grand out the door!

i wish GM would offer a launch edition fully loaded and a special badge and color for all the high rollers...

last time they gave them special wheels and special luggage too..

        they should do that again...

GM needs to seperate the boys from the men! (Kidding)

I dont think it matters...having launch editions with emblems makes some guys very happy to store in their garages...

having the luggage is an extra add on....

gm s profitability on the c8 will in my opinion depend on the length of the option list...

there really are tons of guys especially from porsche brands where the length chosen of their option list is supposed to equal the desired length of their...peepee...

              Im just kidding!

While I doubt any of us in the forum will own the first rear engined Corvette produced, having one the the earliest ones off the line (the Launch Edition) might be worth a couple of grand down the road. Just a thought.

I'm not sure I want to spend an extra 12 grand or so out front to get a couple grand extra down the road.

I couldn't agree more. But if you're thinking 3LT and Z051 already, it might not be much difference at all.

I am planning 3LT but not Z51 this time. In 14 a Z51 Coupe was $54,775 w/NPP adding $1195 and 3Lt adding another $8005, a total of $63,875. The Premiere Edition Coupe was $75,760. I doubt it would be much closer in price if it were to happen on the 2020. LRG & Brownstone wasn't bad, but the colors might not be as appealing this time. It might be desirable if it was an outstanding color only available on the Premier.
