So, my question (to which I suspect I know the answer), is - do I have to spec the GT2 seats in order to get lumbar adjustment? Or is there perhaps a manual lumbar adjustment in the base GT1 seat? I don't care if it's powered or not but I do like some lumbar.

The 2LT trim level comes with power lumbar adjustment. This appears to be the case without the need to upgrade to GT2 seat. From the visualizer it appears either you upgrade to GT2 seat or get the 2LT trim in order to have lumbar adjustment. That is how I read it and I could be wrong.

Below is from the Chevy visualizer: 2LT adds a number of comfort and convenience features in addition to color-keyed interior options. Includes everything in 1LT, plus:
    • Head-Up Display
    • Power Lumbar and Wing Adjustment
    • Wireless Phone Charging
    • Heated and Vented Seats
    • Heated Steering Wheel
    • Bose Performance Series 14-Speaker Audio System
    • Navigation with Traffic
    • Performance Data Recorder
    • SiriusXM satellite Radio® with 1-year Subscription
    • Universal Home Remote Sun Visor
    • Power-Folding Mirrors
    • Rear Camera Mirror – Coupe
    • Memory Package
    • Curb View Camera
    • Side Blind Zone Alert
    • Rear Cross Traffic Alert
    • Advanced Theft-Deterrent System
    • Parcel Nets

The legend for that document, and the way I read it, is that the items in the appropriate column with the black square are standard for that trim level. Therefore, power lumbar control (passenger and driver) is standard for 2LT/3LT regardless of seat choice (GT2 or GT1). This would be a carry over from the C7 where the lumbar came included with 2LT base seat. That's also how it looks in the Playbook (see page attached).

Looks from the list the 2 lt2 will be considerably higher cost than the 1lt than before with many additions.

Nope. Standard on the 3LT, but still an option on the 2LT. But a required option if you want suede or two-tone seats.

The GT1 seats come with Mulan leather in either the 1LT or 2LT. The GT2 seats come in Napa leather. (Because everyone knows leather from cows that get drunk on wine in Napa is better.)

It is always enticing to get the 'next package up'. For me the 2LT with GT1 seats suits my wants. The HUD, Lumbar, Heated and vented seats, 14 speaker Bose, curb view camera, and PDR are worth the added cost. As long as it's not more than a $7,000 option.

As you say, we will find out Thursday.

Also keep in mind there will be a cost associated to ordering the GT2 seat, people are guessing from 999.00 to 1200.00 as the competition seat in the C7 was 2k and will hopefully remain the same price in the C8.

Mostly agree. I could do without the PDR, but I really like the suede inserts in my C7. But if I have to pay $1500 or more for the GT2 seats, and then another $500 for the suede, I'm not likely to get them. I wonder how much more the LT3 interior is going to be than the LT2 + GT2 combination.

Maybe getting the track pack option is a better move...those performance textile seats supposedly hold you in the seat real well...

But from a looks perspective the performance textile was not a crowd favorite out in atlantic city ...

jad the performance textile been ultra suede and offered on 1LT i would have considered it...but I have to see the performance textile again if I were to go that route..

                      its definitely an acquired taste.

Thanks, you have identified the discrepancy.

In my OP, the first image is from P2 of the order guide "standard equipment". The second image with the GT2 seats is from P4 "equipment groups". I'm reading the 5 features listed under "AH2 GT2 seats" as only coming with that option, not as being standard with the base GT1 seat.

I've got the feeling the order guide is right in this case.

That's an excellent question. My question about the LT3 interior is - if I want all black will I notice the difference from LT2?

The visualizer says the 3LT adds these:
                            • GT2 Seats with Napa Leather and Carbon-Fiber Trim
                            • Custom Leather-Wrapped Interior
                            • Suede-Wrapped Upper Interior Trim
                            • Leather-Wrapped Lower Doors
I'm sure the extra leather is nice, but I couldn't care less about the suede trim, and especially in black I'm not sure the differences would be worth paying for.

The track package mentioned by one GM employee has not been officially announced. It could well be being saved for the next model year???
