  • Whats up with the c8 “track”option

any idea what the c8 track option might be?

    z51?
    mrc shocks?
    performance textile competition seats

Take a guess on the price.

maybe Thursday as pricing is released we will learn about this “track” package..

i didnt love the performance textile material feel but Ill look at it again before I have to decide ..

Nothing more than a guess, but I'd say the three things you mention, Cup 2 tires, maybe carbon-ceramic brakes. Maybe the high wing and ground effects as standard. And built on a 1LT trim level with PDR included. Maybe the 4th radiator for improved cooling.

Well synthesized. I think between what you two have noted above, you have hit the nail on the head, though perhaps not C-C brakes. We do not of course have official GM confirmation that we would even see it this first year, but I would guess 2/3’s chance we would.

        What "track option"?

In an video interview on Friday, 7.19.19 C8 Color and Trim Manager, Brett Golliff, talked about the complete covering of the Comp Seat with performance textile on the “track package.”

Found the video; starting at 6:30 he talked about the three seats and about one minute later mentions the track pack.

Thank you! I like that they are going to offer a cloth seat. That's much better for hard cornering than leather. I bought a car with cloth seats, and was surprised how much I liked them. I had always been a leather seat person. They have also held up really well. It sounds like this seat will be available in models other than the Track Pack, too.

How about tiered track packs? The first tier is more functional performance based. The second tier is more tech and appearance based and includes higher cost items.

Track Pack 1: 1LT, Z51, Competition textile seats, PDR, additional radiator, slotted brakes, black wheels, cup 2 tires

Track Pack 2: same as above plus high wing spoiler, and MRC, HUD
Rapid Blue/Jet Black 1LT, Z51, carbon flash open spoke wheels w/yellow calipers, competition seats w/blue seatbelts

A blacked out appearance was mentioned as part of the package. Could a finished version of this blacked out lower bumper be part of that? I hope so, it looks mean! Allegedly this is a convertible.

thats quite the appearance or rather black out on the grille.

i prefer the stock appearance ....
