Thanks for posting this. What are "DOSP" and "SORP"? As in "First DOSP: 9/12" "SORP: 12/2" "Only one DOSP per month".

I think SORP stands for "Start of Regular Production" not sure what DOSP is

Yes the whole thing needs a translation. Do I assume from this that the Z51 option is available from day 1?

Im not getting involved with this stuff ...im ordering the car the way i want and whenever it becomes available so be it...

ive never ordered such a popular car in the first year before...

sometimes too much information is counter productive.

that said thank you for posting this up for us to see...

now Im disappointed and I hate you..l(kidding)

I'm sure this will all work out...they probably are staging the order process to calculate demand based off GM s anticipation of option color take rates.

this staged ordering probably allows them to better calculate demand over time versus anticipated demand projections

N4Speed is correct on SORP. DOSP is dealer order stock purchase. So basically they're telling the dealers they can only order 1 car per month for dealer stock which means that all other orders are customer order and purchase. This is awesome because now we wont see 1000 black cars with black interiors sitting on dealer lots being unsold or delayed sale. GM is letting the customer determine what the production numbers and options are. This will be a first in GM history.

So now we know that beginning of December is the planned start of production. And we know that the plant closes for 2 weeks in December as well so it makes sense that the first cars would not go out before February.

Well early discussions on this forum did mention February for deliveries...

i m stunned its not a 2021 model year vehicle...

the lease residuals would have been phenomenal.

i believe most porsche buyers lease.

I actually think DOSP is Dealer Order Submission Process... see below (top right corner)

Is the date orders are allowed in actually determine the date of actual production or the just the date the cars get entered into the system and then the system determines the production date?

                      oh well...

There is no mention of Z51, I wonder what that means.

I agree it's confusing to us. The "trim combo" box says with "magnetic ride". Since MRC only comes with Z51 I'd assumed Z51 was available.

They also use the word "base" which appears to mean "non-Z51".

Z51 with and without mrc is available the first week for ordering depending on color and interior option chosen.

dont these first cars sit in a quality control lot for four weeks?

By the time they ship all these first run cars out.....i think the ordering process has more to do with input of orders into the system.

i have liiterally no idea about any of this ..

                              ..
The OP's pdf does not say that at all. What it does say is that MRC cars are available with or without front lift. There is no mention of non-MRC cars except "base". Or ALL non-base cars have MRC and are therefore Z51.

                              That's why it's confusing.
