Wireless Charging Recepticle: Wired Port for Apple CarPlay/Android Auto?

I haven't seen any photos or blogs about connecting Apple CarPlay/Android Auto in the C8? Where are the various ports located throughout the car for connectivity? Anybody have any information on this? Thanks.

I'm still hoping that it is wireless CarPlay like in my BMW. It is fantastic!! If not, I would have to imagine the wired connection is close to the charging station but that would seem to be unusual as the phone likely doesn't fit well into the slot (or at all) with a cable attached. That's why I'm still hoping for wireless CarPlay and given the C8 has WiFi in the car, that is definitely a possibility.

There are 2 USB ports in the back of the console storage area, right in front of the phone holder in the waterfall.

That's the thing... why have wireless charging if you have to plug the phone in to get CarPlay? I'm thinking the C8 won't have wireless CarPlay (or they would have already noted it) but really hope it does

I don't know what the technical and cost constraints might be, but right now the list of cars that support it is almost vanishingly small, and mostly expensive: BMW even charges $80 per year to activate it.

I have an iPhone (multiple actually) but don't use Apple Play, I just Bluetooth it in my Durango when I'm not playing from the built in hard drive. But don't know why I won't be able to do the same with the C8 as it has a "one-touch" pairing feature. I've heard 2 or 3 of the top bloggers (like Chevy Dude) point this out.

I see on Amazon there are flat wire USB cables with a USB on one end and a micro USB on the other. Good for Luddites like me with a phone without wireless charging capabilities, and need to get power out of the console.

Wireless ApplePlay would be nice for the ability to use Waze. Those Police notifications are invaluable. Haha!! If not, I will continue to use the cable. It’s too important.

No. Bluetooth doesn't have enough bandwidth (data throughput) to handle the real time map, traffic and directional updates.

My 2019 Silverado has wireless charging and connection. It will play the music from my phone but it will not operate any of the apps.
