  • C8 Corvette Unveiling at MacMulkin Chevrolet 8/7/2019

Enclosed is a video I took of the unveiling at MacMulkin Chevrolet. It was the first unveiling in New England. The car is a Sebring Orange, Sky Cool Gray interior, Carbon Fiber Dash, 3LT, Z51, Front End Lift. Thanks to MacMulkin for putting this event on!

    Next viewing Carlisle!

No matter how many times I see that same Sebring Orange car as it works its way through the east coast dealers...it never gets old!

I didn't get there until almost 1 pm, which in some ways was good, some ways bad.

The good way was that some of the earlier arrivals were leaving, and I was able to get an ideal parking space.

The bad was that the car was totally surrounded by many enthusiasts, so it was hard to get an unobstructed look. I stayed for a little over a half hour.

And then, for most of the 120 miles home, it was a cloudburst. I was able to have a nice seafood lunch at one of my favorite seafood places a few miles north on Route 3.

I too had a 120 mile each way trip. We got there a little after 11 a.m., and could literally not even see the car as there were people around 10 deep surrounding it. We left, had lunch, came back and the people perimeter was only 3-4 deep. We saw and touched the car, but I did not wait in the long line to sit inside. I met my saleswoman, Vanessa, in person at last and I told her I'd be back in January or February to pick mine up.

I was there at 5:30, still mobbed.
2021 HTC on order with 2LT, front lift, msrc, npp, elb with two tone seats, and gray hash marks. September first delivery??
Now 22. Thinking adding cf interior and deleting hash marks.
            Delivery? Who knows. ☹☹

My sales person told me that they had 1600 reservations, and she said that many more showed up without reservations.

What’s the point of having reservations if they allow people without them to show up 🧐

I found it to be too mobbed to be enjoyable. As I am not placing an order soon, I will go back after they start getting production line cars and have the normal MacMulkin experience.

Couldn't agree more. I hope to buy a 2021. I sat in the passenger seat as no line to do that. Great to see it in person though.
Not bragging and I'm sure many people are in my boat where affording it is not a problem. My problem is justifying any expense this large.
Depressin era parents have scarred me for life.
I wish I could practice what I preach where you can't take it with you and stop being such a dumb *** and spend your money!!!

My site name, "Milliwatt Rob", is a tribute to a miserly friend I had. Morbidly thrifty. Every nickel and dime he never spent on himself ultimately went to the nursing home before he qualified for Medicaid.

And I had depression era parents. Tell me about it.

I'm over it. Still working on my wife. Making progress, though.
