That was my sales manager, but he is from the Livingston dealership. I thought my salesman Drew would be there but he couldn't make it

The only disappointing thing was his comment that they targeted the 458 Spider in terms of performance and equalled or bested it. That's not bad but the 458 is already a two generation old car for Ferrari and already bested by the C7 GS in many performance measures. Would have been nice to aim a bit higher because the C7 GS already achieves higher in many ways.

The Ferrari 458 is one of the best base mid-engine sports cars Ferrari has ever produced. The 488 replacement Is turbo which is not the best direction for the brand and the 458 is the last of the N/A motors they put in an ME. If it's about performance only than the 488 is technically better on paper but sure excitement I take the 458 all day long over the 488.

                        458 & 488

Might he meant the 488, for there were some others things we have collectively noted that were less than 100% precise. The C8 will far outperform the C7 GS Z07; we heard from Ed Piatek yesterday, Chief Corvette Engineer, that it bests many Z06 performance measures. Not concerned.d

The mid engine program started and was underway even before gm created the c7...

could the statement they benchmarked the ferrari 458 be because of the original program started before the 2009 financial disaster in the USA?

anything is possible and I wouldnt worry..

a zero to sixty time of under 3 seconds means all exotics were on the chopping block from a performance perspective including all mid engine v8 ferraris, as well as the mclaren 570s...

i dig both those grands, i dig those models bothe 458, 488, amd the mclaren 570...

i think the key take away is the placement of the driver with regards to the hip point being the center axis of the new c8...

this vehicle as stated is a paradigm shift for the entire industry or at least the sports car market...

                              i love paradigm shifts ...
