  • Went to Connell Chev to watch them unload and setup .. Very cool

Decided to take a chance and go by Connell Chevrolet in Costa Mesa to see the C8 unloaded and the site get setup and very glad I did. The setup Mike and his crew were very gracious and accommodating to the 30 or so folks who were there (mostly Connell Employees) They took time to answer questions and we were able to sit in the car both with top off and top on. This crew went out of their way to help in any way they could, definitely an asset to the showing of the car. I found out that there are only two cars on the circuit, one on the west coast and one back east. While they were setting up the display inside the car was parked outside and open to all of us. The blue looks great in the sun... The car exceeded my expectations and looks much better in person than the photos. Didn't crawl under the car, but got down on the ground to look at most everything. Nice implementation of a location for the front plate. Noticed that the lower space across the rear is actually a screen, which I didn't realize from the photos. Am going back tomorrow to see the displays as they didn't get them setup while I was there. The was a ZR1 parked next to the C8 so great chance to compare the two in real life.

Fun note; I took a friend who recently ordered a Porsche and he changed his mind and pulled out his checkbook, I never expected that!

The car will be there two days for those in so calif who are anxious to see the car in person. See Tim Connell if you just can't leave without ordering your own.....

Glad to hear the GM crew was happy to show the car to everyone. I hope their enthusiasm doesn't flag as the tour grinds on for another couple of months.

I am on the East coast but my father lives near there so he is going tomorrow. Will they be allowing everyone to sit in the car tomorrow?

I suspect a lot of porsche buyers will following your friends lead.

lots conquest sales in corvette future.

this is a targeted goal for corvette marketing.

sement is shrinking so conquest sales are inevitable.

the completion hopefully will grow the segment which is good for all companies involved.

Yes they plan on having the car fully accessibly to all.
