Very interesting news John!

The 40 cars to be delivered, are those pre-production cars or are they early ones off the regular production line? That is, do they in any way indicate when the line will be starting up?

I highly doubt it that these cars are sale-able units, for from what I have heard the car has not yet been “production approved.” As to your second question, the line will not be starting for customer car production many, many more months.

So, I contacted Jenifer Shaw at Spring Mountain Motor Resort regarding the C8 availability in their HPDS. Here is her response:

"It great to hear from you. I will keep you updated on C8 information as we receive it. As of now we have not heard. Looking forward to having you back out here."

We heard Harlan at the April 26th C8th presentation at the Bash say, the “C8 will continue the Corvette Owners School.”

Might the price be increased a little for SM’s expenses, like all ours, keep going up. Personally guessing at $1,500 and for what they provide, that would again be a screaming bargain. I want to be in the first class if they would let me.

I talked with SM two days ago and all I got was “we are very excited about the future.” Guessing that GM has whispered to them as to what will be later happening, but they are smartly waiting for official confirmation.

Could be the same $1,00, could be $1,250??? I am going regardless of price because I know GM will help out the total class price handsomely.
