  • All non-color seat customization 3LT only?

Playing with the visualizer it seems that most (all?) seat customization besides basic color is only available with the 3LT trim package. Is that correct? I tried to figure it out from the order guide but I couldn't quite confirm.

Not a big deal but I love the red/black two-tone seats on my C7. I love them but not enough to jump to 3LT just to have them. Even black with red stitching seems to require the 3LT trim. That seems rather extreme. As a follow up question, is that something that has ever been relaxed as time passes on previous models?

One of the perks of anteing up for 3LT.

Interesting. So the visualizer is wrong? I only see one two tone option under 2LT (and you can't pick the other's without getting the "this requires a switch to the 3LT trim" dialog).

Thank you jwstegbauer. The Order Guide is more accurate than the visualizer. Not to say the OG is perfect, but getting closer and closer as a few of us are communicating “tiny things” to GM.

There is a least one two-tone option on the GT1 seat:

I could not find anything in the order guide that would limit coloring stitching on comp seats other than what I previously posted about interior colors and only being available on LT3 interiors....

While the two-tone option on the GT1 seat shows up in the visualizer using a LT2 interior..... If you go specifically to Interior Order Guide RPO Code TU7 Seats, two-tone Requires (AH2) GT2 seats.....

Personally, I would trust the Order Guide more than the Visualizer......

The seats I showed are NOT listed under two-tone seats. If you choose LT2 and GT1 seats that is the color combination shown. Yes, if you choose two-tone options it requires the GT2, but that's not what this is. It's what you get if you choose the GT1 seats and red interior.

The visualizer MIGHT be wrong, but these are not the optional two-tone seat category.

Yeah that's why I asked the question. I hoped some clarity would be helpful to the community in general. On a previous job I worked online configurators for auto companies. I know far too well how rules and changes to rules don't get communicated. It doesn't surprise me at all that the visualizer is not 100% accurate.

Cool to hear you guys are in communication with GM.

If you re-check the visualizer you will find that with the LT2 interior if you choose GT1 seats using both interior colors Natural & Sky Cool Gray the seats are solid one color......I have no idea why using Adrenaline Red produces the red and black combo......when you are placing the order with the dealer and want this specific color combination on the GT1 seat, I would make sure to get clarification from them that the GT1 seats that you are going to get will be this color combination.....Especially since there is no specific RPO code for this color combination on a GT1 seat.....

GM has updated the visualizer. Now if you choose 1LT and Torch Red, the seats are no longer two-tone. AND, if you choose the GT2 seats with suede inserts, it now forces the two-tone option, too, which didn't used to be the case. Probably been a bunch of other updates we haven't noticed yet.
