What is the best guess of the first C8 delivery?
Torch red 1LT, no options. Built June 4, received July 2

Mike Furman who has a better handle on this than 99%, just posted that his “educated guess was Feb. 1st.

That jibes with my estimate I have made for a while that since I live on the west coast and longer travel time by train, of Valentines Day.

However, might there be some “delayed availability” colors and options so that if your order went into the very first consensus but had a constraint on one of your selected options/color, an item you were not willing to compromise on, that too will delay your individual car’s delivery.
2023 Z06: Elkhart Lake Blue, 2-tone blue interior, HTC, Standard Z06 with Z07 aero pkg, CCB’s, 3LZ, E60, every visible carbon fiber option including wheels, Jake Design Pkg. Lifetime, annual contributors, and 25 year NCM members. Home is the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

That would have been my guess too.

As long as mine is here by May 1st, I'm happy

That does hold some truth to it.

              Good luck.

Correction: There is no relationship between limited number of options and getting one early, unless one has constrained options and is thinking the fewer options, the lesser chance I have of one being constrained.

However, GM might choose instead to first get out the door some of the popular packages, e.g., starting with 2LT & 3LT with Z-51 first (or some other combo known only to them).

True, if the first run is Z-51, I'll have to wait.

Im happy to hear z51 fe4 could be the early run cars yet sad to hear 1LT cars could be delayed.

yet from a corporate profit perspective loaded or 2 and 3 LT cars being the first to hit the showrooms makes sense.

right now so many of us after seeing the beautiful new exciting corvette c8 are all anxious to get this car asap but as the months pile on and winter finally rears its head...we will ge ok with waiting until spring...

we will all who chose to buy this car have many many months and even years to enjoy.

first delivery rumors range from late December to mid February deliveries...

i am surprised there has not been a launch edition fully loaded as so many manufacturers do.

i just got a call friday that the new supra is in the showroom and its their launch edition..

ill try and stop by today to take a look. I wasnt a fan of the car as it was shown on the internet although from a performance perspective for fifty or 60 grand it seems to be a hell of a deal.

Launch edition Supras are selling for more like $70k+ with markup.

I really hope the 1LT are not going to be delayed. If GM wants a younger crowd Money will talk. That’s why the 1LT will be very popular with the younger set. There were no delays in the C7 for the first several months with the 1LT model. It’s the availability of certain options that cause delays. Or quality checks or issues can cause delays. UAW strike can cause delays. Mother nature can cause delays in shipping. The cable man can cause delays. Lol. Got to blame it on someone.

I temd to agree uet they did go for a loaded launch edition to arrive at dealerships so consumers can view every option amd the corporation can cash in selling the highest priced models first...

some would say its unique looking while others would just say as you have.

toyota seems to have made a smart move sharing the platform with the supposed “ultimate driving machine” company.

it ll be interesting to see if it has bmw s or toyotas durabilitynafter the warranty runs out...

will it damage toyota bulletproof reliability reputation over time.

bmw s do tend to cost a lot to keep running outsode the warranty period and that could damage Toyota's reputation...

to me durability is right up their with performance. I jate when cars are constantly in the shop with expensive repairs and lengthy stays.

will toyota mechanics be able to properly service these cars as they age.

of course toyota could have traded its knowledge on durability for bmw driver excitment...

so in that vein im interested to see what occurs over time.
