I was there early. People were all over it. Difficult to see. Never saw the whole thing at once . Slices between the people. Was a mess of enthusiasm

Sorry JB but the Z51 only comes with Michelin Pilot 4S tires. Maybe your dealer with do a trade out with you.

Here are some of my notes (heading out to my Corvette club’s Cars-and-Coffee soon.

9 to 17 degree angle seat back incline, almost doubling; if average leg length, could put bottles of water and similar behind the seats, jackets, and similar.

About 50 pounds more for the C8 if compared to a comparable C7, .e.g, if one take a Z51 automatic, and if one factors in the additional weight of the dry sump standard for the C8 — so we get an apples to apples comparison. Of course new safety equipment accounts for some of that 50 add’l pounds.

SEMA will be the opportunity aftermarket access for their doing a ”measuring party.” Maybe also at Carlisle???

2LT & 3LT will come standard with power fold mirror, which can be accessed three ways, e.g., buttons, fob, or programmed to happen.

With Z51, threaded spring seats for use with spanners for height adjustment; of course the C8 now comes with coil over springs vs traverse composites in C7.

E-boost brake system adjusts for the different modes for tour, sport, and track.

Re the protruding door peak, Harlan noted it is robust, that is a separately replaceable system if one gets too aggressive with it (garage wall impact); made of flexible sheet molded compound; CCR noted aftermarket clear bra and maybe other protectors will be available.

He sounded really funny about the weight, was kind of tap dancing and stammering, then went on to say as John pointed out, a comparable equipped C7 + 50 pounds or so. Why not just say we took one with half a tank of fuel and 2LT and rolled it on the scales they said XXXX.

The door peak was a little odd, said it was robust, which also is saying no we didn't do anything special for it, and instantly said they have hidden release buttons. What that has to do with the damage to your new door in the garage is beyond me. He may as well said, they're robust and we also have dual zone climate control and heated mirrors.
