The Ferrari Spyder really does not have anything over on the Looks of the C8 Spyder. The only real difference of the two cars is you can buy several C8s in different colors for the same price. OH, and most likely your collection of C8s will be more dependable.

Sorry HT folks, but this announcement confirms why I have been suggesting repeatedly, that the C8 HT’s production line start will not be until around the middle of winter.

Why, because after the reveal, then will be a time, just like the months between the C8’s coupe reveal and its production, even if you remove the extra couple of months for the plant upgrade, for GM to receive your HT orders, suppliers to be ready, sequencing of the production line to occur, etc.

And in addition to those things, or should I more properly say due to those factors, little birdies from different flocks, have been chirping that same middle to middle-end of winter for the HT convertibles start of production.

I'm not downgrading the C8 in the least, but the comparisons to similar Ferrari models is inappropriate. By the way..... FERRARI MAINTENANCE IF FREE AT THE DEALER FOR THE FIRST SEVEN YEARS (and has been for the past several years) so let's eliminate the maintenance myth. Their 'dependability' is also quite outstanding.

While 'cost' is a big factor, when I figure in depreciation, it's hard to rationalize buying a Toyota, but it never stopped me from having a Corvette in my garage too.
2020 HTC Torch Red with lots of goodies. Built in September. Museum Delivered in October......

Other toys in the garage: Ferrari California, BMW i8 Roadster, Bentley Flying Spur, Chevy SSr

Thx Jag appreciate the info ... tough to wait for the vert ... not sure I can hold off, but not sure what the best thing to do is ... Yeah I know, get a coupe soonest, then opt for the vert in 2021 ... yeah that's it

True, I had forgotten about that. But it's not really "free." You're just paying for it in the upfront price. As for dependability, I wonder how it would look if Ferrari owners drove their cars 10 to 15 thousand miles a year, like many Corvette owners do.

Thanks rlhmarines for that screen print capture. We have heard that the C8 Z06 has two twin ducts, similar to the Lotus Exige. In the interim, here are a couple more C8.R screen prints.
