On the evening of July 18th 2019, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray was revealed for the first time at a special event held in Southern California. These coins were minted to commemorate the premier of the Next Generation Corvette, and the rich history of Corvette since its debut in 1953.
One side of the coin features Zora Arkus-Duntov, the Belgian-born American who became Corvette’s first Chief Engineer and who's work earned him the nickname "Father of the Corvette". It also features 1953, the year it all began, Chevrolet, and the original Corvette signature.
The reverse side features the new Next Generation Corvette crossed flags, the year of its debut in 2020, Chevrolet, and the new Corvette signature.
These coins are available in each of the twelve 2020 Corvette car colors. They are 1-7/8" in diameter, weigh1.6 ounces, and are protected in a clear accessible coin case.
