Your Lottery Z06 Christmas Present

Tired of waiting and want a long shot to get your Z06? I have two friends who between them have won three new Corvettes. Is this your Christmas self-present? https://www.midenginecorvetteforum.c...iversary-coupe. Might you be the third friend who wins a Corvette lottery by buying just one ticket? Of course still going to be many months until you are driving it, but if you win a heck of lot cheaper than your/my other plan.

  • Detroit News: Why now? How the C8 came to be

    From Harlan Charles' FB page:

"They spelled Kirk Bennion’s name wrong and we all got promoted! Good article though" - Harlan

When Zora tried to do it, GM would say: ‘But the (front-engine) car is doing great as it is,’” said Corvette marketing guru Harlan Charles. “The horsepower levels weren’t where they are today, and they had all these packaging challenges that they didn’t know how to solve, but we know how to solve now.

“That’s why now is the time.”

Mid-engine supercars are cool. But cool isn’t a business case. Management liked the team’s business pitch.

“We had no ‘cool’ description in any of our presentations. It was tactical, business, functional, physics-driven,” remembers Juechter. “Here’s why it makes sense for us.”

      The C8 was on.

Thanks ABorC. I personally feel that if GM did not make a ME at this point the Corvette would continue to dwindle with all other manufacture's Sports car Sales. The timing is right. A strong economy is supporting this and will help sales to record highs for GM in the sale of Corvettes, IMO
