Unexpected Z06 Surprise....

Our facility received a call from our District Rep for Chevrolet on Wednesday, informed us because we did such a good job considering the size of our territory, we were awarded 2 extra Z06 allocations. Total shock. Too bad there are so many Carbon Fiber restrictions. However, we gladly accepted the allocations.

On the other side of that coin, at my local dealer I put down a deposit on a Z06 in early ‘21 with a written guarantee of MSRP pricing. Early in ‘22, they sent me an email saying that they wouldn’t honor that guarantee and asked if I wanted my money back. Somehow Ms. Barra’s office got wind of this and made a nasty call about it and also completely coincidentally this dealer still hasn’t gotten any Z06s.

Good for you, Lefty. The only way to fight back is to let someone know. I felt totally screwed by the way the E-Ray sign up was handled. I put my name in two years ago and again last year and then the dealer said they would ignore all that and go to a first come basis. My only fight back is to go to another dealer. It won't always be order taking for dealers.

unfortunately most all our PNW dealers are a joke with corvettes. Finding one out here without ADM is pretty much impossible now, and probably for a while.

No so at Emmert Chevrolet in St. Helens. They sell their Z06’s at MSRP. Always have and always will; did so recently. However, they have quite a few on their list and as they are a relatively small Corvette dealer, so their list is now several years long.

That’s great to know. Unfortunately I’m so far north of them I’d never heard of them. Most of our dealers are also very low on corvette allocations so that doesn’t help us any.
