Don't most PPF installers do paint correction prior to installation?

Just awesome...I'm so ready for mine now when I see pics like this of your car. Mine will be similar.

Was the paint THAT BAD that it needed a lot of correcting? That concerns me because I'm not sure the PPF installer at MM does that prior to install. And it gets installed at MM show room before it sees the road.

Luck of the draw. My ELB 21 needed an hour of paint correction. The white 21 in the shop as I was dropping mine off needed 6 hours of paint correction at $100 a hour.

Paint from the factory is probably the worlds best factory paint applied. There is always the need for a little correction prior to installation of PPF. My SR I had Rudy Pollish and correct for 2 weeks to make the Rapid Blue glow. Only a few people really noticed the extreme difference. This time around, I did have the paint correction, but not the extreme version. My Amplify Orange is enroute from Rudy's Auto Armor now. It should be here in about 5 1/2-6 hours

I felt the same on my Hypersonic, but man after he worked their magic, the improvement was noticeable.

For their level 3 PPF package it was $4k plus $500 for ground effects for the Stingray. For the Z06 it'll be about $5k. For the full car it'll be over $8k is my guess. I don't have an official quote yet as I'm waiting to hear from the sales manager once they get the invoice for my car. Then they'll contact me to deal with the financials and options like PPF, etc. When I get exact numbers I will report back here. I'd rather give hard fact numbers for the Z. When I last talked to them about it this was their guestimate.

So I wanted to follow up on the PPF topic with accurate information I just received today. For the level 2 PPF package that is offered that I'm going with it's $4495 and that will include the entire front of the car, A pillars, doors, rockers and rear fenders. If you want the ground effects done(of course I do) that's an additional $1195. Seems high for those pieces but they need to be done as they are VERY high impact areas. The entire car is $8K Hope you find this useful.

Stunning Rapid Blue Z06!!! I was very fortunate to see vettesweetnos’ car in person at Auto Armor when he was picking it up. It is gorgeous in the OP pictures but even more glorious in person. A treasure of a Z06!

Vettesweetno’s Corvette is beautiful... Came here for the Rapid Blue pictures. That said, the Huracan Performante interior gets me going every time I see a picture. Two great cars.
