My front lift sounds like a mini jackhammer and so does my friends new Z06.

I only notice pump motor running for a few seconds to raise. No noise during the lowering process as a hydraulic valve opens and the weight of the front end bleeds the fluid in the lift cylinders back to the storage tank.2023 SRC Silver Flare 3LT, Z51, FE4 Mag ride, E60 Front lift, TVS low spoiler, 38S red stitching, 3F9 red belts, J6N edge red calipers, RCC edge red engine cover, a few other goodies

Absolutely not. Sorry to hear that. Ours with E60 did not do that once in two years, e.g., flawless. I can not imagine anything other than a trip to your dealership is next. Again sorry, but as all have noted in their response posts the sounds you are hearing are completely non-standard. No, it doesn't sound common. The lift on my second C8 made no noise. And yes, this is a popular option as it is not offered in most much more expensive exotics.Comment

Definitely no jackhammering sounds. Brief whine/electric pump sound.2023 Z06 Red Mist HTC Red Calipers / C-Flash Mirrors and Spoiler / Black Exhaust Tips / Front Lift / Black 3LT / CF 1 Interior / Stealth Trim / Red Belts and Stitching.
