  • 2020 C8 Stingrays Arrive At Tustin Hanger For 7.18.19 Reveal

Three Reliable Carriers’ transporters have been spotted by Rick Conti’s across the street “spotter” name Matt. I thought only race car teams have spotters. Following picture thanks to Rick and Matt!

Thank you very much Plasboy for alerting us to this breaking C8 news!

We suppose it could be possible that those three trucks have so far only hauled in C8 related display materials; perhaps what these three 53’ trailers carried were such related items the C8’s rolling chassis (as GM had for the C7’s reveal and many other larger components mentioned in this thread).

But some BIG C8 related components has clearly made it to the reveal launch point. A little birdie whispered that these transporters started their journeys in Michigan.

    Fun; FUN!!!

Those trucks look like toys against that hangar. Nobody outside the hangar will see anything being offloaded with the trucks inside and the doors closed.

very cool ... I looked up the Hangar and see that it used to be a blimp hangar. I hadn't paid much attention to the reveal site, since I wasn't going, but once I saw the hangar, it reminded me of the Goodyear blimp hangar in Akron. Cool spot for the reveal.

Could these be transporting the various mid engine concept Corvettes from the past decades?

I think it would be cool if the audience were inside the hangar with both sides of it open, and then at the precise reveal moment a C8 raced through the hangar at full speed.

Of course safety concerns would probably prevent it, but the hangar is so large that it shouldn't be too difficult to ensure safety.

Wow...quite the impressive set-up. Here's hoping the car lives up to all of the hype, and proceeds to be super reliable! Hoping there are some surprise design refinements. I'd love to be there to enjoy the reveal!

If that wasn't a GM employee driving those trucks, I can only imagine the NDA those guys had to sign!

GM could be responsible for loading and unloading, with the actual drivers unaware of exactly what's inside. Although they could probably guess.

I sent the picture of the hangar with the corvette banners to my friend, who lives in Fallbrook ( and whose father lives in Dana Point).
                            This was his reaction....

This is it?? An old Marne Corp airplane hanger???? Some of the most beautiful beaches in the world and this is what they choose to unveil the newest Corvette???

Jag you are probably correct on the early prototypes also in the auto carrier trucks. I remember a post at the time of the last Corvette bash that the prototypes would be at the reveal to help tell the story.
