Tustin Update Pics and info for attendees

Some of you have already seen the Corvette banners hanging on the blimp hangers in Tustin. Here is a pic from Sat July 13. The event will have food and drink and GM executives will most likely mingle with the owners that were invited. The number of owners attending is 57, not 75 as I was first told. The entrance is being altered to allow low overhand cars to enter as the "driveway" is dirt and gravel. Note the picture of one of 6 flatbed semi truck trailers from Michigan. This is going to me a really big deal. While I was standing at the gate numerous cars pulled up and were asking the guard about what was going on as people were pointing to the huge, and I mean huge, banners with the Vette logo and the word "Corvette". Can't wait till Thursday!

Do you know if they are going to have ya'll park your cars outside of the hangar or inside?

I was told that the owners attending are parking their Vettes outside in a "grass" area where food and drinks are to be served. The "grass" is pretty much typical Southern Ca dry and dead grass. . I am hopeful that some of the C8 design guys may visit the area snf chat up the owners, like they do at the Corvette Corrals at the IMSA events. We will see. I will take pics and post them here of the owner event as well as the big event, The Reveal.

Thanks Crossofiron. Excitement is building!!! I like a separate comment I saw that the person living across the street from the hangers said, as he looks out when standing on his fourth floor balcony to the hangers, that have been more vehicles at the hanger this past week than he has seen in total since he moved in one year ago.

Fifty seven owner Corvettes with hot exhausts parking on dry, dead grass. What could possibly go wrong???

LOL Rob. The grass is very short. No chance of fire unless someone throws a cigarette.

Heh, I almost set fire to some grass with a hot catalytic converter when I pulled off to the side of a road. Fortunately noticed a few wisps of smoke and moved the car before things turned ugly.

Outside in a designated area, yes. Not in the hanger though.
