Im not going to tune or alter the next corvette I buy...
i prefer the a,azing warranty and durability of the corvette engineering team..
that said...for those that do want to increase the performance of the c8...
i fully expect that will be an option...
probably take a good couple of years but itll happen...
shops like callaway will be first of course as gm will give them access...once that happens the rest like edlebrock will gain access too...then the smaller shops...
i re,e,ber the original c5 pcm work by steve cole early on in 1999 and eventually everybody got the ability to tune...
the europeans tuners tend to do piggybacks because a lot of the tuners cant break the pcm codes and it works just fine...
worst case scenario we will see lt2 early modifications use piggyback systems ...
not as clean or as efficient as gaining access to the pcm itself...the piggybacks work ok...
after decades of modding...with the forst 500 hp mid engine dct equipped c8...z51 fe4 i get...im leaving it stock and preferring to mod myself with driving skill...
after all these decades I finally came to the conclusion the best use of mod money is just trying to improve the one variable the factory cant control...lol
the driver skill level...
