awesome post, couldn't help but see the 944 racing behind the vette but not mentioned. only thing better than a 944 is a 948 with the 2.5L 4 cylinder replaced by a c5's 5.7L LS1. couple months away from first start, coolant system complete and just need to final hose clamp the intake with a brace bracket to keep it above the power steering belt when hood is closed (half a pinky space between when hood closed).

What was the purchase price?

I really don't remember. Bought the car in Canada-so purchase price would have been considerably higher than the same car in the US-even with exchange. Funnily I do remember that I got $12700 for my trade (1982 Toyota Supra GTS) which I used to reduce the cap cost on my Corvette lease-only way I could afford it back in those days

What was the purchase price?

I had an 85 Bright Red Z51 purchased new for $25,000 which was a lot of money to me anyway. Loved the car but only had 230 HP and 330 ft lbs of torque. Even though the HP was low the engine had great torque. Here is a photo of mine.
