You are correct! The last car off the production line Thursday was VIN ending 2536 and I am 2538. My car should have been the second car off the production line this morning, Friday May 26. Will report next week. Everybody have a nice Memorial Day and remember those we celebrate and honor.

          • FYI…I was told by NCM that my Z06 70th AE will start production during the 2nd shift today. Vin 508. Looks like it will sit on the line over the weekend and be finished Tuesday.

Hopefully I get the good news that mine was the 25th off the line today as I am 2561. And Yes, Honor our nation's heroes on Memorial day.

              • My ZO6 VIN 2538 came off the production line yesterday on Friday May 26 as the second car produced. This morning (Saturday 5/27) my great dealer BUD's CHEVY in St Mary's Ohio (MSRP) sent me a photo of the update. 3800 (produced) 4000 (available to ship) 4150 (invoiced) 4800 (Bayed)

When the car is delivered I will post all the dates and status codes so everybody interested can get an idea of my progression and maybe use that as an idea for when their car will be produced and delivered.

So far this has happened .........

I was on Bud's ZO6 waiting list for two years. I got a call from Tom Hendricks at Bud's in late March to submit an build order before April 4th. My order went in April 5 (status 1100 order placed). On April 20 I went to status 2000 (order accepted by GM - allocation matched). On April 26 my order went to 3000 (order accepted by production control). On May 5 I went to status 3300 (order scheduled for production) and I received a TPW of 5/22.

On May 16 I went to status 3400 (order broadcast for production) still with a TPW of 5/22.

Based on Roger Kiel's excellent production reports on this forum I projected a late day 5/25 production date.

Today I went to 3800 (produced yesterday 5/26) and immediately 4000 (available to ship) 4150 (invoiced) and 4800 (Bayed)

I hope this helps others and will update you when I get status 4200 (shipped) and 5000 (delivered to dealer).

                • Couple of questions. Did your dealer give you all the information on car coming off the line and updated status codes? I’m hopeful mine was complete as well VIN 2561. If you are past status 4000, does that mean it’s already through QC? I was told by museum that my pickup date wouldn’t become a firm date until vehicle clears QC. My tentative pickup date at museum is June 9 and would like to firm up travel plans as soon as possible.

                  thanks

Every dealer is different some will update you along the way but most you have to contact them and just ask what the current status is. In MacMulkins case they have a spreadsheet they update once a week you can check current status. Smart move as I’m sure it saves a lot of phone calls.

QC on cars is random so no way of knowing how long. Trust the NCM they will tell you a date they have the most accurate information even before dealers do.

My dealer was great and contacted me immediately every time my status changed. When I went to status 2000 on April 20 Tom Hendricks estimated production in late May with delivery June 1-10. I thought the car would be built on May 25 and on May 26 my dealer checked for status 3800 three times yesterday - so we knew my car Click image for larger version

ID:	485555 didn't make the 5/25 build. . Tom checked again the next morning (today) and gave me the good news and a photo of the status changes. I have no idea about the QC checks.

I know they do QC during the build and Tom told me they randomly pull cars that are "bayed" which can delay shipment. BTW I made a mistake earlier and my current status is 4B00 not 4800.

So even my completed car may not be shipped immediately. I will go 4200 when it is shipped and 5000 when it arrives. I think a dealer can even tell where the truck is en-route?

I don't think your dealer will bother you with constant updates unless you ask - I did ask and was updated many times. So ask.

I was fortunate to have a dealer that has sold many many Corvettes over many years and understands the process very well.

The dealer can absolutely tell where your vehicle is located after its been loaded. My Z accepted 4/20 and off the line on the 16th of May. I ordered full stripes, so it was one day for that and a 24 hour cure period before they release it to the trucking company . This morning, the dealer sent me a screenshot of the map on where the truck is. It’s halfway to my dealership in Ohio. Being holiday weekend, I and the dealership expects it on this coming Tuesday. So, a good dealership can definitely keep you updated.

I knew about the tracking tool on their website where you input your order #, but does MM maintain a separate spreadsheet as well?

                          • Just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone at BGA what a terrific car. And Thanks to each of you for the information and support. John I think everyone should have warned / each other what a difference between this and the Z51 OMG. I will not not be able to put my build date and delivery time but it was quick. What a machine. John once again Thanks your Vette looks killer. I do want to copy your head rest. Not trying to change topic but would you share with us the cross flag secret? Nashville will never sound the same.

                              • based on last information from jwstegbauer via roger kiel; i'd say Idratherbgolfing had his car made since last vin on friday's production was 2572 and his VIN his 2561.

if the logic holds then congrats!
