2022 Corvette CYTD Sales: MacMulkin # 1, Ciocca # 2, Criswell # 3

Here thanks to a birdie is the GM 2022 CYTD Corvette sales totals. Not yet officially released, but birdie shared. However, before posting I called two dealers and they confirmed their own numbers were the same as the birdie numbers for them. [Full disclosure, I did not call the other eight.]

Congratulations to MacMulkin in selling, by a 45 C8 margin the most of every Chevrolet Corvette dealer in the 2022 calendar year.

Here they are in terms of total 2022 CYTD sales:

John I find it interested that Criswell specifically names Mike Furman as if he sells them all. My dad and I have always dealt w/ Scott LeStrange there. I know MrDJ uses a different salesman too. Just curious if Mike gets credit for all of their corvette sales or if their #s simply aren't included in this post?

For those who say that a dealership is stuck in their past level of Corvette allocations, that the numbers only change slightly, here is the most amazing climb in the Corvette world dealership sales history.

When Tommy Thompson, the current MacMulkin co-owner (past GM and past Corvette Manager —the last ones before his latest promotions), came on board as a very young salesperson in 1997, MacMulkin Chevrolet had sold a total of 3 Corvettes the previous year. Tommy has taken bold steps to take MacMulkin to where they are today — quite a few with considerable risk and always with commensurate super skill, to take MacMulkin to now their being # 1. Congratulations to Tommy Thompson, his Dad (co-owner of MacMulkin Cadillac/Chevrolet), Mark Makarawicz (Corvette Sales Manager), and the entire MacMulkin team for their excellence and hard work getting them to where they are today.

I bought my C7 Z06 from MacMulkin and it was truly and unparalleled expereience!!! MacMulkin rocks!

Mike Furman sells typically 90% of all of Criswell of Gaithersburg’s total Corvette sales. Other salesperson’s Corvette sales are included in the 603 total.

How many Z06's for the top 10 ? thats more interesting to me

We do not know. We saw Ciocca publicly show their initial 32 Z06 allocations granted to them for VIP and custom VIN;s (outside the standards allocation process), granted to them immediately before the first August 18th allocation batch. I confidentially know the some for the top four for dealerships the regular August and then also for Nov 2nd allocation batch, but very few numbers beyond that (#’a ’5-10). If I were to guess, counting the 32, they top ten have received about 165 allocations through now, but as we have never heard how many allocations were given in the November batch, it is close to meaningless to know how well the top ten compared to those outside the top ten.

We might only know this down the road and even then might never know.

I believe that GM will by the time this year is over have made up for the top ten’s shortage during the August 18th allocations. However, there is so much we have yet to learn, for example we do not know whether the Feb 23rd/March 2nd next round of Z06 allocations is the last Z06 for the year or whether there would be one, two or three more Z06 allocations during the rest of the 2023 MY.

There were about 413 Z06s built in CY 2022. Thanks to some additional sources I have found, I have data on 172 (~42%) plus 27 70th Anniversary Z06s.

Ciocca has 30 by my count, which is not enough to catch MacMulkin, but it puts them close. Of the 199 Z06s I have data for, MacMulkin has none.

For those of you with Ciocca, congrats on picking the early Z06 leader. And if you have a friend named Rick Hendrick, you're in luck, too.

Average Z06 price (MSRP) for the data I have: $145,135.88

Most expensive Z06 build: $179,510.00

Least expensive Z06 build: $108,995

59 cars have either Z07 (51) or carbon fiber aero (T0G - 4, T0F - 4) which is about 30% of the 199.
