  • 7.18.19 Tustin Updates, Including Invitees, Weather and More

This thread will be updated as information and the 7.18.19 weather forecast changes. Source: weathernetwork.com and accuweather.com

Looking good so far, especially as there will be an outside of the event Corvette Enthusiasts gathering, a collection of individually owned Corvettes, that pre-activity taking place before the inside, 8:00 PM (PST) formal reveal starts.

July 18th Tustin, CA forecast as of July 4th:

79 degree high temp after a low of 66 degrees; 0% chance of rain; 10 MPH breeze.

As to the reveal event presentation, it is scheduled to occur from 8:00 to 8:45 PM, with an opportunity afterwards to gather around the cars, displays and to talk with key Corvette team staff.

Thanks Rfong. We have a plan in place that will result in lots of information being put up here, perhaps as early as during the live streamed presentation, no later than in the hour after its formal 8:45 PM ending as it melds into the after-presentation, informal part of it. Our team has already pre-planned how we can best and most quickly share info here, the team including ABorC, Brad and our MECF Events Ambassador jagamajajaran posting info either info they themselves find, and their also posting up pictures Keith and I have taken and forwarded to them.

Once we get the official GM, roughly 50 C8 pictures, they will post them, as they will with the “media.Chevrolet Press Release.”

However, as importantly, in all of the opened reveal threads will be a place that all MECF members who find any info and pictures elsewhere, hopefully all members seeing those items will post them too, e.g., all hands on deck!!! We would rather have duplicate info rather than anything be missed. As an example, if anyone sees a PowerPoint screen during the official presentation, please do not hesitate to do a screen print and post it into our active reveal thread.

John, great job you and the team are doing. I’m sure we’ll have information overload on the eighteenth but what a problem to have.

            Thanks to you all.

Not planning any sleep from 3:00 AM Reveal morning when I get up to leave to go to the airport, until I get home 3:00 PM Friday afternoon. Confirmed both my flights have wi-fi so I will be posting during them too.

As Steven Bell noted, “Sleep is overrated; we will catch up when we are on the wrong side of the grass.”

****, we will have so many C8 facts to collectively learn and share.”

John when do you think they will reveal the actual site location?

We do not know when GM would publicly reveal the exact location. My guess is the Monday of the reveal week.

Tustin Blimp Hanger.....Yes! That’s a few miles up the road from me and where my money is. Big enough to even allow some driving inside (not that it would happen). When considering Tustin that’s the only logical place for an event of this scope, this spectacle.

Welcome to the forum Guitar Man. Since the hanger is close to you, have you noticed any activity around it? Any sort of set up going on?

If you call the local hotels and lodging facilities in the area, you will find that some are fully booked for that date. The reveal location will be close to there, because it has been booked for GM support staff.
