  • GM’s 20 ME Colors?

No! For sure that is not happening, but want all to be aware that when we see the color list released in the 7.18.19’s color list (whether on the press release or in the GM FleetOrderGuide), might we will see some different names than such leaked ones as “Accelerate Yellow Metallic,” “Rapid Blue” and “Zeus Bronze Metallic,” though if you see a different yellow than Accelerate Yellow Metallic, that would not be our getting two new yellows.

GM has both an external name and an internal name for most of their colors. Here, thanks to the Corvette Action Center, as found for us
by jagamajajaran, was the initial, internal GM list for the 2019 colors.

Notice so many differences, such as Corvette Racing Yellow being “Yell-o Tint,” and Blade Silver Metallic being “Switchblade Silver Metallic.” Only a small number, the traditional Torch Red, Arctic White and Black, share an external and internal name.

Might we have any surprises in this area?

Let’s us guess. Oh, this is a tough one. However, might it be one of the two blue’s we believe will be offered?

One of the new colors will most likley be a bright and bold lime green color. They are especially trendy right now. I would say in the same family as to what Porsche and Lamborghini are currently offering. lizard Green & Verde Mantis.

I saw a sunrise orange C7 Z06 yesterday and the colour looks amazing on the car, so hopefully they have a similar one for the C8. When I do get my Corvette though, I'm definitely sticking with whatever color is closest to admiral blue.

I am curious to know what colors they will reveal the car in.

418C is Sebring Orange; 459C is Ceramic Matrix Gray.

You can plug any color number into any number of websites and they will show you a sample and also give you the external names for the color. I use:

http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/paintdet...?gmcode=WA459c [just edit the "459c" with any of the codes in John's original post]

(John/mods; if linking to a web site is agains the rules, please delete that part of the post ... seems harmless enough but I know there are considerations I am unaware of.)

                  Lamborghini = Green

I wasn't aware they came in other colors. (joking, or course)

I love those bright greens. Needs the right car. TBD is the C8 is one.

Here's another website that covers the GM colors listed: https://www.automotivetouchup.com/to...19/all-models/

Hint: use Ctrl-f to get the search box, and then type in the numeric code for the color.

Thanks for the translations Brad into what we outsiders known these colors as. Every year without fail, I get a one or two PM’s from a customer who has looked at the WorkBench Connect print out his salesperson did for his car’s order progression status, with that the forum member being panicked the salesperson ordered the wrong color. It happens even more frequently in the first year of a new generation

This looks to be an exciting pallet of choices...

i enjoy seeing the various corvette colors ...although for me...having owned a black corvette for many many years...

im ready to go for my personal favorite...

torch red with a black interior...

thanks for posting this exciting information...

i just envision all the various colors all lined up as the 2020 deliveries begin and we enjoy either a fun run rally or a sunday morning cars and coffee spring of 2020...

i can hear all the ooohs and ahhs as other sports car enthusiasts catch a glimpse at either type of event...

i look forward to gm reporting conquest rates on the c8 ...

i really believe the c8 will be the most effective gm product when it comes to conquest sales...

the conversion rate will be something gm can be quite proud of.

i seriously believe that was the reason orange county california was chosen...

thats the land of italian exotics and german sports cars..

if you read google from time to time...you ll notice all of the other more exotic car manufacturers and even porsche are upping their rear mid engine or rear engine game (911) in anticipation of the corvette onslaught of conversion rates...

im sire the interior of the c8 will again be world class...the performance will be impressive with its 500 odd hp v8 as well the dct gearbox...and handling of a light rear mid engine sports car

not to mention a starting price in the 60s...(five grand more than todays standard c7 ...)

should be a tital wave as consumers vote with their pocketbooks to get a vehicle that pretty much requires gas, tires oil changes for the first 100k miles...

not the ridiculous running costs so many have endured..

poor audi just dumped its tt and 65 grand audi tt RS...and has no plans for a replacement for the audi R8....porsche
launched its 992 .update on the venerable 911....the boxsters running a lot of iterations to garner some attention...

the turbo four has been a bomb for the cayman and boxster even if its a little quicker than the previous generation boxster..

nobody wants these two four cylinder sports cars...

toyota launched a new supra ...at around 50 or 55 grand...which was the c7 starting price..

not really a pretty car but at least unique...
