  • Presenting The 2020 ME Corvette

Thanks to fvs, we have an extremely close rendering of what the 2020 entry Corvette ME will look like! This rendering is again based on very specific and known factual information/pictures, including the 10 leaked CAD drawings, the 2 actual front and rear fascia pictures stolen from the Plant, and lastly this week’s C8.R pictures.

All of us in the Corvette community owe a great deal of thanks to fvs, for his combined CAD skills (he is an industrial artist by profession), his artistic skills, and his personal Corvette passion!

Looks great. I think he needs to extend the nose just a bit (it's too short/stubby), as it doesn't have as much overhang as the mules and race car have.

    Man, that dude is talented.

As always fvs says, the actual car will look nicer than his renderings. What further refinements might we later expect? What he further needs to refine it further, would be an actual headlight bucket, a tail light and the actual hood.

I agree. The sunlight washout and camo tape didn't leave much to see in the pics of the hood of the race car, and of course the headlights are covered.

It's pretty obvious GM "leaked" the pics. So, I guess we'll learn the next few pieces when GM "leaks" those too (unless one of the mules gets caught naked on the street). LOL.

I'm pretty jealous of FVS' tremendous talent. I can't even draw stick people.

The lines are right on the money. The telephoto angle creates a little foreshortening (hence the seemingly short overhang) but the image is accurate for what it is. The side view confirms a similar profile as the 488... not too shabby. ( see JOHN's post for comparisons)

            A better version of above

just to get an idea of the visible detail in the camo pics. The lines of the windows, head and tail lamps and door cut lines are all visible. I traced all the most important lines and show in the overlay. Those lines match up on the street Ivers as well, except for the lower ground effects.

                Great work fvs!

yes the front end in the race car spy shots is longer with a heavy radius from the center of the nose to the corners.

Excellent renderings...I believe it will look even better in person...not that I have first hand knowledge.
