GM has another aero patent that we well could see on a C8, e.g., one filed under category of an air deflector, specifically entitled a “Vehicle Ride-Height Dependent Control Of Air Deflector.

Again no surprise, that this patent was also located by Jeremy Welborn, aka “jagamajajaran” who has personally found more C8 ME potential patents than any one else, and I know that he is looking for a major additional one between now and 7.18.19.
Primary Description/Purpose:
From the patent abstract/body, it is defined as a system that has “an air deflector moveably mounted to the vehicle body. The system also includes a mechanism configured to selectively vary a height of a deflector relative to the road surface and the position of the defective relative to the vehicle body.”
It further is configured “to regulate the mechanism to select the target ride height of the deflector to the road surface to “control the aerodynamics of the vehicle.”
Lastly, its purpose is “to determine ride height and to determine of a pitch of the vehicle relative to the road surface.”
Note that this patent is different from the “Adjustable Splitter Patent” GM separately filed.
