    It is very interesting that rule changes are being discussed which might create a super GTLM class. Might a changed C8.R race in it? Interesting conceptual discussions are taking place as an alternative to the “Hypercar” class originally proposed — the latter which has been getting very weak OEM responses. Might we see at GTE Plus class instead, with +200 HP and massive aero to bring LeMans times down to around 3:30/lap? All options are being discussed, are still in the formative stages, and could end up a total bust.

    If this new sports car class were to occur, what does that do to Corvette racing who has already been developing and road course testing the C8.R for over a year (maybe over two)?

        What ever they do there needs to be more then 3 manufacturers in GTLM class .....if Ford drops out next year. Ford wake up and put the Mustang in that class. It matches up well with BMW. That was the original plan before the Ford GT got involved from what I’ve read years ago. Bop takes care of the close racing just look at how close racing has been.

          Ford GT vs Corvette C8, let them run with out any BOP. Fast, best driven car wins. Good racing like the Ferrari / Ford wars in the past.

              Is this the only racing series where the “race cars” have less power than the “street cars”? Increased power can’t be a bad thing. What do the race teams think?
