Forum dealers are awesome....msrp for the first year should be doable.

    id never pay over msrp..

and id never buy from a dealer who did ..(and then lowered to msrp later on)

    just a matter of principle..

All depends on from where you want to buy your EM. Many dealers, especially with limited ME allocation will “demand” an outrageous “market price adjustment.”

Right now for example, there are dealers demanding up to $25K OVER list for a ZR1, where as MECF forum dealers MacMulkin and Criswell are selling the ZR1 for sticker. Our top forum dealers never charged over list for a single C7.

As a moderator on another Corvette forum, I was able to help 200 forum members buy their C7 Stingray’s during 2014, or buy their 2015 Z06, all at sticker or below. And in those cases where a person’s order was stalled due to lack of dealer allocation for their car, instead working with forum dealers I was able to get that stalled order moving again, and/or avoid paying over sticker (of course not $0.1 to me — but great satisfaction at helping a Corvette owner get their car).

As one extreme example, I helped a forum member who PM’d me in the middle of the 2014 model year, who lived in Arizona, her writing to me, “I am about to buy my Stingray for $10,000 over, can you please find me a better price/option.” I got her an allocation at one of our top forum dealers within a week, got her car delivered to her eight weeks later with exactly the options she wanted, none she did not want to pay for, and even with her choosing custom/enclosed transport to her home, saved her $7,750 over her local dealer.

Here’s a thread that might be helpful to many asking this same question now or next model year.

started a topic Dealer Mark Up

    Dealer Mark Up

When I bought a new 2014 Shelby GT500 the dealer wanted a $5,000 aditional mark up that I negotiated down to $3,000. I hope the Chevy dealers don't do the additional mark up on the ME. I was considering ordering a new Porsche before the ME bug bit me & I could order the Porsche what I wanted for 8% under MSRP. If my Chevy dealer wants to ding me for a mark up there will be a 911S parked next to my Callaway.
