America has a history for the "Trophy Car". What is the probability that Corvette [or GM] will create a "Trophy Car". can it be again.

I was not aware the 600LT will be quite so expensive. I had thought it would be a slight upgrade in price from the 570GT. ( i just noticed it is the mclaren GT not the 600LT.

https://youtu.be/afevzzWegiI just for fun the 600LT review..

god bless america and the rest of those who spend this kind of cabbage on a car...

Never knew that about our history. "Trophy Car". You should make it happen again.

I'm sure the McLaren folks would be very upset if anyone thought of their brand as a 'Corvette competitor'.....

*I* personally am not the kind of person who brags or show off some material goods to others just to make me feel good or better or more successful than them. If I like something and I can afford it, I buy it and enjoy it regardless of what others think. It's for me to enjoy.

In this case If I had $500,000, I'd buy 5 C8 ME than ONE McLaren to make an statement. I think I can have more fun beating the **** out of C8 which still runs than babying the McLaren.

I knew a wealthy guy in Florida, huge house, many supercars. I never forget the day he bought a Subaru STi. He was so happy. He drove it everyday. He said, that car makes him feel so good and no one bothers him.

I have a crush on our 2017 WRX (my DD). BIG FUN to drive daily. You hit the nail on the head, to love what you have, makes sense for you personally, and inspires your passion to drive.

Now, you are my hero... A guy with Z06 (ready to buy C8) has a crush on WRX... Well, that makes two of us.
When I had my Z06, I also had a small Turbo import sport car. People thought I was crazy to adore that little guy more than my Z06.

I doubt that I'd spend half a mill on a McLaren, but I've always wanted a Ferrari, so if I could afford and justify it, I would own one. Not likely a $500,000 one, though. Unless I were truly wealthy enough to afford a 275GTB, which is WAY more than $500K.

Owning a C8 will be as close as I will ever come to owning a exotic sports car.
