  • 1st ZO6 goes to auction

The first retail production ZO6 goes up for auction with Barrett-Jackson on Saturday January 29th. The auction will benefit charity, so the price will not reflect market value but should be interesting to watch. I will be surprised if Rick Hendrick, who has always been generous to charities and is well known for collecting VIN# 001, does not pick up the winning bid. Other C8’s on the auction are listed below:
    Barrett Jackson

Fri Jan 28 – (History Channel 1-4 PM and 4-10PM FYI Network)
    Lot 1020.1 - 2021 3LT
    Lot 1090 – 2021 CHT 3LT Z51
    Lot 1103 – 2022 3LT Z51 (IMSA Edition)
    Lot 1111 – 2021 1LT

Sat Jan 29 (FYI Network 1-4 PM and 4-10 PM History Channel)
    Lot 1258 – 2020 3LT (GM Heritage Collection)
    Lot 1259 – 2020 3LT (GM Heritage Collection)
    Lot 1441 – 2021 2LT (Lingenfelter)
    Lot 3009 – 2023 ZO6 – 1st Retail Production (Charity)
    2022 2LT CHT - Red/Blk Z51
    Waiting list ZO6

Great advertising for the upcoming Z06 (and all previous vehicles with this type of auction): whoever thought of this charity fundraiser is a genius with the high price it'll likely grab and all the resulting free publicity, plus the benefit to the charity. A win-win.

Rick may have to go to $4m for this one. So maybe that will affect his uplift on new Z06's at his dealership. Time will tell

The one he gets when production begins will be black on black like all the other's he bought. It's great to see him giving back to the needy.

First. Do you have a bidders pass? If you do you get 20 free drinks with it to help you move your bid up.

you could add an extra 0 to that and still not win it.. lol

I guess the question is, do you think it will go for more than 3m, the price he paid for the 001 first ever C8.

Nothing personal John, but I would probably bid you up by $5000. If I win it I'll take you for a spin. And we'll split the drinks....AFTER the drive.

That car will probably sell for more than my net worth! Especially if Hendrick decides he want it.

Just for fun, should we start a poll on what the final winning bid will be? I'll start: $3.5 million...

And what a great charity: Operation Homefront; not only a wonderful cause but statistically about 90% of all funds donated to that charity actually go to support military families in need.

They should just go ahead and deliver it to Hendrick and announce what he paid, save the time and suspense. 😂

So just paying the Z06 dealer markup for some places?
