1st ZO6 goes to auction

The first retail production ZO6 goes up for auction with Barrett-Jackson on Saturday January 29^th. The auction will benefit charity, so the price will not reflect market value but should be interesting to watch. I will be surprised if Rick Hendrick, who has always been generous to charities and is well known for collecting VIN# 001, does not pick up the winning bid. Great advertising for the upcoming Z06 (and all previous vehicles with this type of auction): whoever thought of this charity fundraiser is a genius with the high price it'll likely grab and all the resulting free publicity, plus the benefit to the charity. A win-win.

And what a great charity: Operation Homefront; not only a wonderful cause but statistically about 90% of all funds donated to that charity actually go to support military families in need.
