What would you ask the C8 Team if given the chance?

We would all love the opportunity to sit down and ask questions with Tadge, Harlan, and Kirk about what features the new C8 will have. What would you ask? After everyone submits their questions John could take the top 10 or 20 to the team for answers to these just after the reveal in July.

Because I am a retired police officier my question to them would be how did the C8 do in the crash tests and what new safety features are on the car? I am amazed at the corvette crash photo's that Keith posts on the blogger site and how they "walked away" without serious injuries. A true testiment on how good Tadge's safety design is for the C7.

If the car were delivered and the buyer thought the shade was not what was ordered, how would that dispute be resolved? We once ordered very light gray house siding for a vacation home that was being built. The siding was delivered and put on the house while we were not there. When we came to see it, the color did not match (in our opinion) the color on the catalog paint chip. We were shocked. A gray house became a tan house. We learned to live with it.

1. Will the C8 get colors like the Porsche below, like the Golden Gate Bridge and wild purples and night fruits in multi tones like the 720S? Or traditional Old Glory Red, White and Blue? Senior citizen dark reds and grays?




2 Describe the Character of the C8 car? With each power plant. LT2, LT6, LT7? Is it still raw, ever how refined, still raucous, extroverted.

3. if the first introduction to the C8 is by the sound only, will we be able to "name that tune"?

4. Will there be a scare-the -pants-off-ya mode.

5. Was the exhaust sound at the Corvette Museum Circle true or a disguise.

a. What happened? With each? Zero to 60 MPH? Zero to 100? Quarter mile time. Half Mile? Track times? Where?
7. What power plant are you running in the C8R seen in the video.

10. Is there some sort of manual transaxle within in the differential plan for future application in the C8 ?

12. which version will most resemble the demeanor of the C5/C6 Z06s, [ light, naturally aspirated, screamer, tight, lean and hungry ] . Will is come roll cage. What RPM, HP, Wgt, Tranny and option less?

13. timing of release of the various models and time tables from 07-18-19 forward?

14. When will independent testers get access to the C8. What restrictions will you impose? Testing and comparisons against competitors?

Volkswagen offers something like 50 color options on a few models (although not so many in the U.S.). At a significant extra cost, of course. If VW can figure it out, I think GM could, too. I'm just not sure there's enough demand to make it worth their while.

Ford will let you order any color you want on the GT for an additional $30,000, not a misprint, $30,000.
