[VIDEO] Harlan Charles Shares the New C8 Corvette Badges at the NCM Bash

The Corvette Team hosted their annual “What’s New with the Corvette” seminar on Friday morning at the National Corvette Museum’s Bash. We’ll have the full presentation coming up, but we wanted to share this exciting news about the next-generation C8 Corvette.

As you can imagine, the team is quite tight-lipped about what they can and cannot say. The good news is that all will be revealed on 07.18.19. Knowing how excited Corvette fans are for the C8, Harlan Charles, along with Tadge Juechter and Kirk Bennion did share some C8 news with enthusiasts.

The team had on hand the two actual production badges for the C8 Corvette, one in Chrome and one in Black. Customers will be able to choose either which is a nice feature that allows them to match the style of the badge to their wheel choices as well.

Along with the Badge Reveal, the team also announced two special raffles to benefit the National Corvette Museum. The 25th C8 Corvette has been reserved for the NCM and it will be raffled during the 25th Anniversary Celebration at the end of August this year. Tickets are $25 and they are on sale now. We’ll have some more details on how to get your raffle tickets but they will be on sale through the NCM from now until the Anniversary show.

A second raffle will also benefit the National Corvette Museum’s Motorsports Park.

We caught up with Corvette Product Manager Harlan Charles after the seminar and he showed off the new badges and talked about the special raffles.

The way he is holding that badge reminds me of the old Universal Pictures horror movies, where someone was holding up a crucifix to keep the vampire at bay.

Maybe he is trying to keep a Porsche at bay.

Although nowhere near as bad as pickups and SUVs, the Corvette emblem seems to be getting larger each generation and I am not sure I like that. I prefer understated. But, at last so far, we have usually escaped bow-ties and other badges except CORVETTE written or embossed on the back someplace. So I guess I should not complain ....

Im not a badge guy either. I wisj we were offered the option to delete badges from cars...

lots of corvette guys love badges and I believe gm puts a locating pin hole on tje vehicle so it would be too expemsive to have gm offer a badge delete option.

as far as badges go...this one seems to be the best one ever offered on corvettes

its kind of swept back amd sleek so Im cool with it...

not a deal breaker for me although id orefer no badges at all...

Harlans a good guy and all about selling the brand

I know a guy at cars and coffee that won a free corvette grand sport from these bowling green raffles...

its for a good cause and we need a link to pay the $25 for a chance to win...

its a one in a million shot but you never know...

However as per our earlier communications, no on-line purchases of tickets except for those who are buying within the physical limits of Kentucky and a few others states. However, you can on line get all the info you need, fill out an old fashioned paper form, mail it in; your ticket (s) will be be mailed to you.
