As expected, the first/major part of this meeting will be re-living the 2019 C7 and the C7.R program, with tons of specs of which colors, models, options were chosen. Any C8 info will be at the very end of this 1 1/2 hour presentation. This thread will not contain C7 information.

    Official GM Presenters:

    Tadge

    Harlan

    Kirk

At the same time, expect very little news in this thread even when it is completed.

Here however are some-pre-meeting guesses (both yeah and nay).

    Shared Today (Again Pre Meeting)
    1. The official C8 emblem
    2. Raffling off two (2) “GM Official Reveal Invites”

    NOT Shared In the Presentation:
    1. A single spec
    2. The reveal location
    3. The production schedule

Arrows pointing to the Zora eggs. The Corvette team calls them “Zora heads.” Tadge was pushing for placing Zora heads on the car, but got some
resistance (understatement). However, Tadge proceeded to make up a roll of sticky Zora heads and just before the event asked the head of GM
communications about the idea — which was on the spot approved and Tadge stuck a few of them on the car just before Mary arrived at the car.

Today GM officially revealed the official C8 emblem and everyone in the room got one small but real emblem pin handed to us as we left the presentation.

It is exactly the same emblem we saw before (as revealed a few months ago by GM-trucks), as in this thread we earlier had.

The Zora head became a massive secondary internet coverage as in:

Harlan ducked the question as to whether NCM would again be providing an opportunity for some NCM members to attend the reveal as in 1.13.13. He neither confirmed nor denied this, but my “reading” Harlan’s expression and the specific words of his non comment, it is my opinion that their well could be that same NCM opportunity (but again that question was ducked by Harlan).

Per Tadge, the adding of the second shift at BGA for sustained C8 production (the adding of 400 more employees to create a second shift), based on our projection of the C8’s sales rate, is projected to be “indefinitely.”

Tadge announced that the Corvette Owners School at Spring Mountain will continue for the C8.

He separately added in response to a question, that the development of the C8 has been 66 years in the making.

Since approximately 30 were initially built in Michigan at the Design Center, ergo over 70 C8 test cars have been built in BGA.

The camo shirts that Tadge, Harlan and Kirk were wearing had a big C8 emblem on the back.

Well now, that says something about the value proposition for the C8. The price must be very low for them to confidently project such high sales volume.
