While I don't hate the wheels we have seen on the test cars, they do have one unfortunate resemblance

While not new, the 2017+ GS wheels (which first debuted for the HP late C6 versions), were/are easy to clean. Also, as GM has publicly said, “they are the lightest and strongest wheels we have ever put on a Corvette.”
How about those as a return option, or maybe that wheel with some minor changes, including a machined finish version? Following picture thanks to “gold pony.”

Easy to clean and elegant, but most important light and strong, for as we know, less unsprung weight is a huge betterment toward better handling.Z06 coming late this summer: Hypersonic Gray HTC, two tone blue interior, complete high wing/aero package. Better picture of the second of the ME IVERS wheels.

Although few and far between, they came in comp grey and machine face as well (would love to see something like this on the ME):

I love the combo of comp grey and silver. A friend and I had C6 Z06’s in silver. I got chrome wheels, and he got the comp gray. Parked side by side, his looked so much meaner than mine. I love the look of his car. Told him if he came out some morning and saw chrome wheels on his, to not call the Police — that I had just borrowed his wheels. He is about 6’5” tall, 260 with lots of muscle, and just gave me “the look.” Needless to say, I never “borrowed his wheels.”
Chrome looks good on darker colors IMO, but while I would not be getting it myself on any ME color, perhaps GM will offer it as an ME option.Z06 coming late this summer: Hypersonic Gray HTC, two tone blue interior, complete high wing/aero package. I had a C6 Callaway Grand Sport that was silver with comp grey wheels for 4 years. Great looking rig. I miss that car, but I sold it to get my Callaway C7 Z06, and I'm not letting that one go.
There's a lot you can do with comp grey and machined face designs. Heck, just changing up tints (and they really need to go forged and powder coated) can make a huge difference.
But the cup wheels are simply a classic design that is still fresh - and one IMO that would work well on the ME - i.e. fit its "personality"

While I agree with John about the C7 GS wheels, wholeheartedly, the aftermarket is loaded with gorgeous wheels, that in many cases, are stronger, lighter and offer a wide variety of styles and colors. One of the single easiest changes available to personalize your magnificent new ME. Not to mention the aftermarket may continue to be the only “made in the U.S.A.” Resource. My C7 Z06 came stock with “made in China” wheels. What a heart breaker.
