Someone probably already saw this but look at the red-circled area:

I have no idea of the final shape of the side scoop yet I would suggest what we have seen to date is all camouflage..

i hope it emds up looking like the charzron or fvs sketches we have seen...

I wonder if it's going to be a hard-angle down like the La-Ferrari as someone pointed out awhile back.

Look at FVS’ rendering which just appeared in another thread. I think he has it right.

No matter how they turn out, I just don't see them leaving the "shark tooth" on the trailing edge of the doors.

Given that's where Tadge opened the door for Mary Barra to get out, I think it's real. It'd be quite a bit of work to fake the door opening mechanism. And the camo'd cars we've seen with the door open all have the "tooth." That would quite a fake out, though.

I too hope that Chaz has it "more" right ... although FVS has a nice take on it as well. I like that boxy shape at the top, maybe a bit less, with the scoop extending back into the quarter panel a little more. GM knows that the side scoop treatment is critical to the overall "look" of the car ... hope they get it right

here is an image I enhanced for more detail. Still does not tell us the ultimate shape of the outer scoop but is interesting to see the smaller intake area...

this is the only image I have found with good enough lighting to see into the scoop any depth..

I feel the top surface of the scoop will angle down and in. The flat top hard edge does not fit with the design cues.

Very interesting. Thank you. This scoop has been dissected from a hundred different angles and perspectives.

I truly have no clue what it will look like. I do however have faith it will look totally integrated into the car, look really good.

I suspect (and nothing more) that the shape of the scoop will be very similar to that on the C8.R we've seen in testing. That car appears to have very little camo beyond the B/W wrap. And I think it unlikely GM would race a car with such a key styling cue very different from the street version.
