I'm looking forward to the Bash this year as the Z06 will be my first Corvette! I've decided to go to the April Bash as I don't have many opportunities to see C8's in my area and I want to see as much as I can before my allocation comes up. Are there any tips for a first time goer? Should I fly in Tuesday or Wednesday? Good hotel to stay at? Etc...

If anybody wants to message me with ideas to keep this Thread on topic please do so.

    Thanks in advance y'all!

I was planning on going as well. Newbie. The z06 will also be my first corvette. Can’t wait. Hopefully getting a first year at Macmulkin.
thanks for the post, this will be a great way to decide how I want to order and see the different colors.
I went to NCM for the track experience in April and we stayed at a Hampton Inn in bowling green, I’m not sure if anyone else knows if the museum links up and blocks hotels for a discounted rates since so many people are attending?
      thanks guys.

They do not get into the motel blocking process. Sorry. We believe, he NCM Bash registration will open up next week, at about $25 per person for the entire three days event (though they are adds such a road trips to special places should you wish them).

Sitting in the Z06’s, attending the Corvette team tech presentations*, especially on what is new for 2033, being able to go up and one to one talk with the tens of top level Corvette team members on the outside plaza (where the GM new models are) is all included in the three day event singular price.

        * If Paul Koerner, GM World Master Tech is there doing his special separate, limited attendance seminar on the C8, those are historically all an extra charge. I went it at the last September Anniversary event and it was well worth it to me.

You have a wonderful wife!!! Looking forward to meeting you both. We also have our annual MECF Breakfast get together during the event so there will at least one place we all can get together!

Speaking of super special, for the reveal of the C8 on 7.18.19, literally our 50th Anniversary, as media invites are for one person only, when I trepidatiously told my wife, she immediately said with enthusiasm, “Go, GO, you have to be there; we will celebrate when you get home!” Amazing wife here too (52 years)!

I would suggest making hotel registrations early if you want to stay in Bowling Green. I made mine in November and prices were already high.

So looking at the agenda from 2020 it appears that the Corvette Team had a presentation from 8:30-10am on Friday and Saturday? Was it the same presentation on Saturday for folks that couldn't make the Friday one, or was it additional content not covered on Friday?
Put deposit down for 2020 C8 in July 2019, gave up my allocation to wait for the Z06, plan on getting Hypersonic Gray Z07 HTC with as much CF as possible

Good questions. Yes, it was the same presentation except of course the Q&A. The answers to those questions did result in a very small amount of new info. But as I and a couple of others are at each one, my reporting that small amount of new info immediately here on MECF, no need for you to attend more than one.

Thanks for the info John, I'm still debating on going. My main goal is seeing the colors/options in person, but my local dealer may be doing the tour again so I might have a chance without having to spend all the extra $$$. That said, the Bash would make a great excuse to go to the NCM for the first time....

While your local dealer with have some wall displays of the different seat belt colors, caliper colors and the different seats (one of each kind — though typically all black in color), they will only have one Z06. In comparison there will not only be several GM official display Z06’s there at the Bash but the Corvette team members who have driven to the event will be bringing their CTF Z06’s. Typically we have seen between 10 and 12 different “new models” at the Bash. Also while GM will send one “Corvette specialist” to your dealer, there will typically be over 50 GM staff at NCM including Tadge, Harlan, Kirk, Kai, Josh and many more top members of the team giving presentations will there there for you and all, there for all to ask 1 to 1 questions of.

To me, and of course I have no idea of your other priorities, but if you are slated to get a 2023 Z06, you close to “have to be” at this year’s Bash. But if you are slated for getting one in year two or three, all that information will have been shared one way here and elsewhere before your order goes in. Also the new for 2023 colors will be shown at the Bash, but not at your local dealership.

All excellent points, but I'm now #11 at my local dealership so I think that'll put me late '23MY or early in the '24MY, so I've got plenty of time and could possibly be needing next years Bash to educate me on the model I'd be getting and seeing even newer color options.
