  • Got a rattle

Just came back from a 1500 mile trip visiting relatives in Ohio. 700 mile trip down and the car was great . When I arrived and took a ride around I started to hear a rattle in the dashboard. Considering the firm ride along with the road quality I suspect something came loose in the dash. I'm thinking this is going to be a PITA to find but I'll set up an appointment with the dealer and hope they won't need to pull the dash to find it. Other then that the car ran great . Total trip mileage was 30.9 mpg at highway speeds ranging from 60 - 100 mph with overall average of 61.6 mph . Although the seats are a little thin it was a fairly comfortable drive. So now after getting the car in early Dec. 2020 I just turned 14,000 miles on the way back. Getting ready to put the all season tires on for winter. Enjoy the ride as life is short.

This likely won't help you, but it reminded me. We went to an all-Corvette gathering a few weekends back. Over 400 vettes there. It's an annual thing in Lancaster, OH. On the way back, I started hearing a buzzing from the extreme left of the dash. Could not figure out what it was. I did notice it increased in frequency as my speed increased....Like you I was thinking this is going to be a PITA.

Got home, stepped out of the car and figured it out. At the gathering they charged a $15 parking fee and put a circular sticker on the top left of my had become partially detached and was slapping against the glass which is why it increased in frequency along with my speed...

you don't have a loose sticker on your windshield, do you?

I only have 6k miles on the clock, but I have been extremely impressed with how tightly this car is put together....not a hint of any squeak or rattle..................yet....

So far the only rattle I have is something I put in the pocket in the drivers door, which occasionally moves around and starts to rattle. Knock on wood.
