  • 2020 C8 Stingray Exterior Colors

While repeat of an earlier thread, we now have what appears to be confirmation of our earlier thoughts that the new paint shop capability to paint twelve (12) will become reality with the 2020 C8 Stingray — at least if the leak originated shared by NBVette4U can be later confirmed.

We already have a specific related thread on just what the new Accelerate Yellow Metallic is thankfully not (e.g. SHOCK), and guessing as to what it might be.

We will later have, at the time of the reveal, an “Official Color Thread” for each of the ME’s colors, but right now this unofficial color thread will be all. Here’s then the probably 12 color choices we will be having for the 2020 model year.

UPDATE: ON 7.18.19, GM revealed these colors for the car — corroborating the much earlier leaked specs immediately above. [Source = Media.Chevrolet]

Here’s a start on what the Accelerate Yellow Metallic color could or would not be.

I wonder if Torch Red will be # 1 at the end of the first year. Or might it be white or black. Sure will not be Accelerate Yellow Metallic nor Zeus Bronze.

LBR , Black Cherry, Candy Apple Red, Red Tintcoat Metallic, OK any Deep Red will work for ME.

Wonder if they do a reveal around April 21st, They could do a tribute color to Prince as he passed away then. I think his Little Red Corvette tune has had some effect on us over the years.

I find Zeus Bronze interesting and will have to look at it but I don't think I'm bold or daring enough to actually get it.

Am I right in saying that only 2 of the 12 are unknowns at this point?:

              Accelerate Yellow

              and

              Rapid Blue

I'm guessing that Rapid Blue will be a lighter shade than Elkhart Blue, but we'll see.

It's great to see 12 nice color options. Still, none of them (currently) grab my attention the way 2014's Lime Rock Green did.

I do plan to see each color in person on the C8 before making my final decision, and I expect I'll fall in love with my final color choice (I'm such a romantic ).
                My C8:
                '20 Elkhart Lake Blue 2LT Coupe, Natural Interior, GT2 Two-Tone Seats, Performance Exhaust, Front Lift, Carbon Flash Wheels, Engine Appearance Package 2000 Status December 27, 2019; 3000 Status January 2, 2020; 3400 Status March 10, 2020;TPW March 16, 2020; Built June 4th, 2020 (COVID-19); Delivery July 1, 2020

                Current Vettes:
                '68 Lemans Blue 327/350 Convertible
                '91 Turquoise Convertible with Hardtop
'14 Lime Rock Green 2LT Convertible, Black Top, Kalahari, 7-Speed, Performance Exhaust

Yes with your identifying the Zeus Bronze with this Caddy picture, you are correct.

I've been leaning towards one of the two blue options, but I may just go and get Torch Red with Black Stripes. Red/Black always seems to be a nice combination for Vettes, although I expect it will be a real magnet to LEOs... especially the way I drive.

Great combo. Not a magnet for them unless you drive bad. Noticeable and very sharp looking.

Yea and add a dash of "When Doves Cry".

Man, I'm glad silver survived, as that is what I'm wanting.

                          Good news, indeed.

Looks to me like we're starting to actually get close to a reveal/production if they are testing/editing the GM order system for it.

Thanks much Joe! I am guessing that this is a typical annual part of GM sending out every spring, “how many next year Corvette brochures are you going to want” process (for every GM vehicle) as opposed to anything specific that is targeted for the 2020 C8. However, I have reached out to see if that is the case... If I hear anything that it is other than the annual asking, I will sure let you know.

                            Thank you.

The Caddy is not Zeus bronze. The colour is called "Bronze Sand metallic". As Doug just told me and in line with the online 2019 build and price webpage Click image for larger version
