I am certain, that I have talked to individuals who know much more than they are allowed to share. That would be a more relevant question

There is another major team which starts out with half is members in Warren, MI (their home) who have participated the original concept engineering, even starting assembling the of parts of first mules/IVERs; this group integrates with the other have of the team who are BGA specialists. At the beginning each “half” visits the other location roughly every two weeks, then spend a week as a combined team, then the reverse half travels to the opposite location a couple of weeks later. As the assemble process gets closer, the travel for half the team is constant, so that the combined Integration team is together all the time. Then when the original assembly “jigs/bucks” have completed putting together the first ones, and it is deemed ready for those jigs/bucks/assembly sub-areas to go to BGA, then the MI team essentially moves full time to Bowling Green. The full time movement of the MI part of the team has already been in place for about nine months, e.g., every member of the Integration team being full time in BG.

They stay together until some point after customer cars are being assembled, then the MI folks return to their homes.

We believe the very first time a C8 was put together in Bowling Green was the week of July 13th. For more:

I have two aquaintances who are on the integration team, but as is proper, I have not heard word one from either of them about an upcoming Corvette, though when I occaisionally run into them at the NCM Bash, we talk about C7’s.

Guess depends on the definition of full knowledge.

In the video documentaries & articles on previous generations, there are a lot of teams working together on different areas of the car at the same time.

No need for a suspension engineer to know about differing seat materials. Color is controlled almost exclusively by another part of GM, so therefore no need for anyone other than the top few members of the Corvette team to know about the new C8’s colors until the reveal itself.

That's what I'm wondering. A huge company like GM to have such a tight control on the secrecy.

I do not know but maybe 20? GM is highly segmented, though they communicate well between many of those segments . The engineers have their area of knowledge, the interior folks have theirs, marketing has theirs, etc.

Maybe just 5 or 10 have full knowledge.
