Personally, I wish GM would share more information so we all know.

Thanks for joining us CarGuy11! I really like the video, both the upclose on the Blackwing motor, and then starting at 1:40 the greater shots of the Tremec 7 speed DCT. I agree with your thinking that that will be the trans for the me. Thank you.

I have edited/deleted some responses above as they are not in keeping with our MECF tenet that “all posts shall be respectful and polite.’

Thank you for all future posts being consistent with that standard.

Here are some screen prints of the Tremec DCT I took that I found especially interesting.

Thank you CarGuy. I too like to see up close the Blackwing motor and the probably DCT trans.

Our Resident Photographer Jeff put up some great shots of the Blackwing a while back. Lets see how it does in the CT6.

Welcome carGuy111. Always go to see a precise video. Even if some of its information was a repeat for some of us, I like to see things more than once when they are as complex as a motor or a transmission.

                  Thank you.
Enjoying my Shadow gray C8. What a car it is.

I wish they’d acknowledge if the ME is the C8 or an extension to the Corvette lineup! I feel like I’m more unsure every month

                      ^^^

Well, a number of GM people have made public references to the "C8," and it's pretty obvious that the only Corvette undergoing testing for production is the ME, so.....

There's so much road construction going on here I couldn't get it in anyway so I'm patient. Figure about a year from now I might have it or be close to buying it.

That’s what we’re lead to believe, but We don’t actually know that. For all we know they could be using a C7 body for testing of the next FE C8.

The ME is the C8 and the C8 is the ME. Beyond that we do not know. If you are asking separately whether the FE C7 will continue once the first customer corvettes start done the production line, I believe not. Some disagree — and thus we do not definitively know either way at this time.
