We came across this unique accessory for potential California C8 ME owners who want the perfect vanity plate. I took the liberty of adding it to an FVS render:

We don’t even know officially when there will be an eighth-generation Corvette available for sale.
But already some enterprising individual had the foresight to lock up a key accessory – a pair of California vanity license plates inscribed with “VETTE C8.”
These two tags – described as “new, never used, genuine California Legacy Black Plates” – can be yours on eBay for the reasonable price of $495. The Legacy Plates feature yellow text on black and mimic the look of tags used in California in the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s.
Of course, you have to reside in California to take advantage of this offer, but these plates can be assigned to any year, make or model registered vehicle in that state – including the 2020 mid-engine Corvette when it is finally unveiled by Chevrolet, hopefully, sooner than later.
“Once you acquire these plates, they are yours forever! No one else can ever get them!” the seller boasts in his eBay listing.
As he notes, “How great would these look on YOUR Corvette?”
Especially if it happens to be a shiny new mid-engine 2020 Corvette, perhaps in Velocity Yellow?
